GUIDED PRODUCT TOUR

See the migration before touching production

The tour mirrors the real Odoo 19 workflow: connect a client, import devices, switch an account in place, submit a PDF and keep a rollback path.

1

Connect

Install Runtime + SocketD and authenticate the patched desktop client.

2

Discover

Computers and printers appear as local Odoo records.

3

Map

Existing printer records are matched in place instead of recreated.

4

Print

Run a PDF acceptance job and confirm the completed callback.

Continue into the working demo database

The tour above explains the workflow. The isolated demo site lets you sign in, inspect the self-hosted account, Runtime and SocketD settings, and run a test without entering the sales database.

  • The demo uses a separate Odoo database on demo.xiotbox.com.
  • Use only sample documents and test data; the database may be reset periodically.
  • Runtime and SocketD run on the same server and are already connected to this demo.
