From a clean server to your first print

A practical deployment manual for XiotBox Direct Print. Start at step one, verify each checkpoint, and never guess which URL or service comes next.

New to self-hosting? Follow steps 1–6 in order. Do not install the desktop patch until the Runtime health check passes.

Prepare

Licences, server, domains, firewall and backups.

Choose a topology

Self-managed Odoo or Odoo.sh, without mixing up the three URLs.

Install the module

Back up, install dependencies, configure and validate Odoo.

Start Runtime

Deploy Runtime + SocketD and pass both health checks.

Connect a computer

Patch the official client safely and discover printers.

Print and verify

Select the right printer, send one page and confirm completion.

After deployment

Keep the installation predictable with documented migration, upgrades, rollback and diagnostics.
